Eileen V. Foreman,93, of Whites Landing, died at Stein Hospice on Thursday, February 5, 2015.
Mrs. Foreman was born in Bellevue on Dec. 14, 1921 to Charles and Velma (Richards) Evans. She attended Townsend School and in 1940 graduated from Margaretta High School.
Eileen was a member of First United Methodist Church; Order of the Eastern Star; and American Legion. She was a former member of Townsend Grange and Women’s Relief Corps.
She was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII.
Mrs. Foreman had worked a the secretary for the former Bowers Sanitation in Whites Landing, retiring in 1985.
She married James H. Foreman on June 17, 1950, he survives. Three children, Jane (Larry) Towne, Stafford, VA; James H. III (Ann) Foreman, and Joella (Don) VanWinkle, all of Whites Landing, also survive. Her sister, Marilyn Bowers survives in Whiltes Landing. Nine grandchildren; Andrew, Aaron and Matthew Towne; Jamison, Addison, Shayleigh Foreman; Jennifer, Jessica and Jordan VanWinkle, and five great grandchildren also survive.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Kenneth Evans and Robert Evans.
