Eileen Maloney Olander, age 86, quietly and comfortably passed away in her home on June 19, 2015, after a short illness. Eileen, fondly known as “EMO”, was born and raised in Lawrence, KS, daughter of Owen W. “Pat” and Blanche Simons Maloney. She attended Holland Hall High School in Tulsa, OK and the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Following her marriage to Carl E. Olander Jr., she moved to Wichita, KS, where she lived for 35 years. She loved spending her summers in Lake City, CO and in 1989, she moved to Phoenix, AZ. EMO is survived by her 3 devoted children. Wayne (Rees), Lynn Brown (Britt) and Kristen; 4 beautiful grandchildren, Emerson Olander (Magali), Evan Olander (Susan), Greg Winkleman, and Sara Winkleman Ortega (Stevie); and 2 great grandchildren; Charlotte and Mae Olander. They are all scattered throughout the United States, but so close in spirit. EMO was a bright, talented and generous women.
