Eileen L. Hummel, 76, wife of Jim Hummel (deceased), passed away Saturday April 24, 2021 at Porter Hospital, which ironically is where her children David & Joyce were born. She was born December 25,1944 in Denver, CO. to Jack and Bloyce (Scott) Coghlan.

Eileen was a very outgoing fun-loving lady. She wore many hats in her life, among them; trapeze artist, former playboy bunny(not playmate), showing, riding and breeding horses (she had the Grand Champion stallion for several years), previous owner of Impala Motors, stock car racer at Englewood Speedway and riding roller coasters with her grandson, Brandon. She also had a small bit part in the movie Ladybugs starring Rodney Dangerfield and was invited to have dinner & drinks with the cast & crew, including Rodney Dangerfield. Dancing, especially doing the jitterbug with her husband Jim, was one of her favorite pastimes.

Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, parents and daughter Joyce Hummel. She is survived by her brother Dennis Coghlan, children; David A Newton (Cecilia) of Arvada, Co., Rochelle Keffer of Lakewood, Co., Rick Newton of Scottsdale, AZ., Terry Osborne (Rob) of Owensboro, KY., Tracy Vaughn (Mark) of Grand Junction CO., grandchildren; Brandon Hummel, Kevin Vaughn, Brad, Ryan and Derek Osborne, Randi MacDonald and Geoff Keffer, four great-grandchildren and many loving and helpful neighbors. She will be missed tremendously. Instead of grieving for Eileen pour a glass of red wine & enjoy it with your loved ones. CHEERS!
