Eileen Grogan, formerly of Beverly, passed away peacefully at the Masonic Village in Burlington Twp. on Friday July 28, 2017 at the age of 85. Eileen was born in Union City N.J. and worked as a social worker before her retirement. She is the widow of Richard Lyon and is Survived by her two sisters; Kathleen and Carolyn, her brother in law Julius, her three daughters Linda Lyon and husband, Willam Ollar, Deborah Lyon , Christine Lyon Grover and her husband,Timothy Grover.

She is the proud grandmother of five grandsons, Samuel, Kyle,Dylan,Todd & Richard. Along with her three nieces a nephew and their families Eileen had started her career working at the Browns Mills Library, as librarian. She graduated from Trenton State college and Rutgers NJ with a Masters in Social Work. Her private practice took her to working with Woman’s Space and Clinton’s Prison for Women. She loved all Books! Anything in print and the color purple!

She spent her last two years living at Masonic Village and was endearingly known as the “purple lady”.
