Eileen Hallock-Anderson, 91, of Huntsville, passed away May 26, 2011. She was preceded in death by her son, Floyd (Chip) Hennessee.

She is survived by her two sons, Walter Hennessee and his wife Joan, and Terry Hennessee and his wife Larise, three grandsons, David, Stephen and Joshua Hennessee and six great grand children.

Eileen was born in Massachusetts moved to Alabama after marrying her first husband.

Eileen worked on Redstone Arsenal from 1956 until her retirement in 1986, and was the secretary to every Chief of Staff, beginning with Col. Zierdt at ABMA. She was presented the Sustained Superior Performance award. Her activities included Blood Program Coordinator for RSA, Director of AUSA and founder of Women in Action, Toastmistress Club, and she promoted numerous women’s causes on RSA and in the community. Gen. Barkley said one time, “Eileen put the whistle in the missile.” Eileen was on the Board of the Senior Center for many years. She always enjoyed a good game of bridge.
