Egon R. Hoenle, 87, of Harbert, Michigan died Saturday morning, December 1, 2012 at his home.
Egon was born June 12, 1925 in Bremen, Germany to Leo and Gertrude (Bahr) Hoenle. The family moved to the United States and Egon served his country in the US Army as a Paratrooper for the 17th Airborne during WWII. Egon was an Industrial Designer for various manufacturing firms with many of his products patented.
He attended the Art Institute of Chicago and was an artist who enjoyed creating scenes with oils as well as being an expert textile dyer. He and his sister displayed and sold their creations at Skips, as well as various other venues.He is survived by his sister, Barbara Hoenle of Harbert.
