Effie McVey, 90, of Anderson, passed away on June 30, 2013 at Countryside Manor in Anderson. She was born on November 13, 1922 in Lexington, Kentucky and resided most of her life in Anderson. Effie was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Pentescostal Church of Anderson.
Effie is survived by her sister, Nellie Ira Wyatt of Anderson; brother, Calvin Willhoite of Wisconsin; brother, Walter Willhoite of Florida; grandson, David P. Susan McVey of Atlanta; grandson, Steven Alicia McVey of Atlanta, GA; great-granddaughter, Gracie McVey; great-granddaughter, Sara McVey; great-granddaughter, Eva McVey; great-grandson, Seth McVey; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Jean McClain also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess & Elsie Brewer Willhoite; husband, William McVey; son, William David McVey; daughter, Janet McVey Neff and 7 siblings.
