Edwina Davis, a native of Fulton and resident of Grove Hill, slipped peacefully away into eternity early Saturday morning, July 21, 2018, at her daughter’s home. Born to Mary Mitchell Amos and Tommie H. Davis on Nov. 2, 1937, she was 80 years of age. She was a member of Lily Baptist Church in Fulton. A loving mother and grandmother, Edwina loved to travel and never met a stranger; she was well loved by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four grandchildren, Felecia Fail, Kendrick Davis, Anthony Barganier Sr. and Erick Pace Sr.; and two sons-in-law, Leroy Cunningham and Rev. Leroy Jenkins.
Left to cherish her beautiful memories are nine children, Charles Horn of Northport, AL, Mary (James) Barganier, Barbara Jenkins and Robert (Mary) Davis, all of Whatley, AL, Eddie Mae Cunningham, her devoted caregiver, of Grove Hill, AL, Tommie Davis Sr. of Montgomery, AL, Elder Jackie (Diathy) Davis of Mobile, AL, Rachelle (Charles) Andrews and Tanya Davis, both of Monroeville, AL; two devoted stepdaughters, Linda Welch and Paula Welch, both of Pine Hill, AL; thirty grandchildren, one she raised as her own, Denzel Davis of Jackson, AL and devoted Mercedes Clarke of Whatley, AL; a host of great-grandchildren; one aunt, Alice Blonton of Cleveland, OH; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; three devoted cousins, Sarah Roberts of Mt. Vernon, AL, Dorothy Braggs of Akron, OH, and Creola Wesley of Grove Hill, AL.
