Edwin Lee Whitcomb, 82, of Lebanon, passed away at home on January 6, 2017. He was born in Manchester on April 28, 1934, a son of the late Lewis F. and Vera (Davis) Whitcomb. As a young child, his family moved to a farm in Lebanon where he grew up with his four brothers and sister. He married Janice Kennedy in May of 1953. The couple also made their home in Lebanon where they raised their family and lived out their days. The couple shared 58 years of marriage before she pre deceased him on April 17, 2011.
He will be sadly missed but always remembered by his children and their spouses, Donna and husband Craig Diekmann of Norwich, Denise and husband Russell Cole of Lebanon, Doreen and Frank May of Texas, son-in-law Raymond Michaud and wife Diane of Lebanon; brother William Whitcomb of VT; sister, Ann Brush of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Amanda and Sierra Cole, Fil Topliff, Julie Garceau, Raymond Michaud, Jr., Jason and Todd May; eleven great grandchildren, Izabella, Gabriel, Jaseph, Rai, Alera, Makayla, Joshua, Shelby, Mariah, Dustin, Austin; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Janice, he was pre deceased by a daughter, Dianne (Whitcomb) Michaud and three brothers, Benton, Earl and Warren.
