Edwin E. “Jigger” Finley, 76, Anderson, passed away July 16, 2009 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson, Indiana. He was born September 29, 1932 in Flora, Indiana, and resided in Anderson. He served his country in the US Army in the Korean War. He retired from Fortville Auto Parts after many years of service. Edwin was a member of the Anderson American Legion and a lifetime member of the Fortville VFW. He loved woodworking and enjoyed making furniture such as swings, cradles, rocking chairs and walking sticks.

He did not know a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Somers Finley; daughters, Terri Dwight Wood and Sara Gary Mann; sister, Rose Peters; sister-in-law, Marge Finley; 5 grandkids, Kari Ty Boyd, Dwight Wood III, Scott Melissa Wood, Martin Mandy Mann and Christine Kevin Austin; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews and his dog, Sam.

He was preceded by his parents, Lorena Bernice Hughes & Samuel Finley and brothers, Robert Finley and James Finley.
