Lt. Edwin Cecil Fey Lt. Edwin Cecil Fey, age 92, of Newnan, Ga., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. He was born on Sept. 7, 1920, in Rushville, Illinois, to the late Robert Fey and Margaret Ingles Fey. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Gensler Fey and wife, Ruth Ann Fey; brothers, Robert Fey & James Fey. He was a Deacon and very active member of Unity Baptist Church. He was a member of the O’Dell Sunday School Class and was active with the Shoebox Ministry and church missions. He had 30 year career in the United States Navy as a Radar Specialist. He served in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War and received the Bronze Star & numerous other medals & bars. He had a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Bell Fey of Newnan; daughters, Susan (John) Cooper of Newnan, Emily (Bob) Young of California; son, Kenneth (Alice) Bell of Loganville, GA, Kathy (Jamie) Walker of Senoia; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Fey of Illinois; nephews, Alan Fey of Virginia, Richard Fey of Illinois; niece, Karen Fey Scrogins of Illinois. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Courtney Cooper, Heather Everson, Sarah Beth Bailey; and grandsons, Travis Cooper, Timothy Walker, Matthew Walker, Philip Walker. Nine great-grandchildren also survived him.
