Edwin Arnold Sorensen, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife by his side on December 13, 2021. He was born on July 3, 1932 in Hinsdale , Montana. The oldest son of Hans and Grace Munger Sorensen.

Ed proudly served as Master Sargent in the US Air Force for 20 years, he received many accommodations including a bronze star. Following his service, he worked at Hill Air Force Base for another 20 years. He owned and operated Sorensen Tax, a tax preparation business for over 40 years.

Ed married Mary Christensen on August 29, 1957, their married was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married one month short of 57 years. Mary passed away in July 30, 2013.

In 2016, Ed married Dorothy Larsen in Farr West, Utah. Dorothy passed away in July of 2017. 

On October 23, 2017 Ed married Dorothy’s visiting teacher, JoAnn Briggs Hayward in Farr West, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized on their first anniversary in the Brigham City Temple.

Ed was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-days Saints. He served in variety of capacities including 15 years as a scout master, councilor to the bishop and many other positions. 

He was known for making candy for the Christmas season, his delicious caramels will be missed by many. Ed was known for his generosity within his family as well as the community. He prepared tax returns for many at no cost. Ed loved his family, two of his grandsons came and lived with Ed and Mary for years. Ed enjoyed spending his vacations visiting family throughout many places in the world, often taking grandchildren with him.

Ed is survived by his wife JoAnn, children: David (Tami) Sorensen, Sandra (Steve) Tackett, and Marcie (Jeff) Baldwin, step-children: Steven (Viki) Adams, Michelle (Tony) DaRosa, Maddie Adams, Lisa (John Veiga) Adams and Krissy Adams, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Marlene Yoss.

Preceded in death by his wife Mary, second wife Dorothy, daughter Sheree Warren, his parents, and 2 siblings.
