Edward W. Weed, 81, of Lions Head North section of Brick, NJ passed away on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at home. He was born in Bronx, NY he lived in Bergenfield, NJ before moving to Brick 22 years ago. He was the owner and operator of Peppermint Patty’s Luncheonette in Bogota, NJ for many years.

He was also a Counselor for the Council on Compulsive Gambling in Trenton, NJ before he retired. Ed truly had a passion to help others. Edward was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Toms River, NJ.

Surviving is his loving wife Joan (Gilzow), his son Edward C. and his wife Laurie, his daughter Sharon Lee Weed, two sisters Evelyn J. Alpher, and Judy Duhancik and her husband Nick, nine grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Edward, Payton and Logan Weed, and George, Joshua, Meghan and Zachary Clements and also many loving nieces and nephews.
