Cambridge City- Edward T. “Red Junior” Longnecker, 75, passed away on Monday evening August 3, 2009 at the Henry County Hospital in New Castle. Edward was born in Cambridge City, Indiana on April 25, 1934. He has lived most of his life in the Cambridge City, Western Wayne community and graduated from Lincoln High Shool with the class of 1952. Red served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was stationed in Alaska and received the Airman of the Year Award. Red was a Life Member of the Indiana Volunteer Fire Department Association, an over 40 year member and former Fire Chief for the Cambridge City Volunteer Fire Department and an Emergency Medical Technician.
