Edward Kauker, 89, a life long resident of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Sacred Heart Senior Living in Center Valley. He was the husband of Laurette Kauker for the last 45 years and the late Gloria (Mindler) Kauker who died in 1968. Born on July 7, 1925 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John P. and Mary (Medgie) Kauker. Ed served his country honorably with the U.S. Navy Seabees during WWII. He was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, in Bethlehem. He was a business entrepreneur; having owned and operated the Lantern, the Pelican, and Rudy’s Restaurants, all of Bethlehem, and at one time, he also operated the restaurant at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Laurette; son Edward Kauker, Jr. and wife Elaine of Bethlehem; son John Kauker of Northampton; Karen Buddock and husband Mike of Center Valley; step-daughters, Elaine Hudon and husband Paul of FL; Janet Roth and husband Michael of NH; Adele Martin and husband Roger of MA; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by step-daughter, Joan Martin and grandson, Marc Nonnemacher.
