Edward T. Hanssen, 91, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, in St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Mary V. (Voytko) Hanssen for 67 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Edward and Virginia (Anderson) Hanssen. He was a expeditor for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 40 years, until retiring in 1978. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Bethlehem Lodge #283. He was member of the former Catillion Dance Club of Allentown and the U.S. Amateur Ballroom Club. He wrote poetry, enjoyed gardening, yard work and loved to build things, including the family home. Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary at home; son Edward E. Hanssen and his wife Betty of Bethlehem; grandchildren Susan Young and her husband Michael of Bethlehem and Michael Hanssen and his wife Jennifer of Allentown; great-grandchildren Kayla, Morgan and Austin.
