Edward Szymczak, 86, of Lakewood, formerly of Ortley Beach died Tuesday February 18, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick,NJ. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ and lived there before moving to Clark before moving to Ortley Beach over 40 years ago. Mr. Szymczak served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Seaside Heights.

He was an accountant for Volco, Brass & Copper Company in Kenilworth before retiring many years ago. He was predeceased by his first wife Helen Szymczak in 1992.

He will be missed by his wife Anne Szabo Szymczak; his sons, Stanley Szymczak of Jackson, NJ and Fr. Richard Milewski of Trenton and daughters Pamela Clark of Ortley Beach, NJ and Janet Lane of Haddonfield, NJ, his step-son Anthony Klusewicz of Virginia; a sister Dorothy Pinto of South Carolina, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
