Edward R. Welch, 60, of Holyoke passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 peacefully at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Holyoke Sept. 1, 1959, the son of the late Richard and Frances (Emard) Welch. Educated in Holyoke, he was a graduate of the Holyoke High School. Edward had been employed for 15 Years at Friendly’s Ice Cream Company and more recently for 6 years at Estes in Holyoke, until the time of his illness. Edward was a big sports fan, avidly following football, baseball and Professional Wrestling. Edward is survived by his beloved children Samantha Welch and J.D. Welch, He adored his grandson Jacob and the second grandson who is on his way. Edward was the caring brother to Donald, Gary and Raymond Welch, and was the loving brother of his deceased sister Mae (Welch) Reynolds. Edward also leaves his best friend and former wife Kim (Gladu) (Welch) Larson.
