MESERVE- Edward N. of Stoughton , 83 years, passed away on Thursday December 19,2002 at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a period of failing health.

He was the husband of Eleanor D. (Dean).

Born in Medford, MA, he was the son of the late Orville and Ada (Easter) Meserve. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Coast Guard. He held the position of Coxswain. He was a lifelong resident of Stoughton. He was formerly employed by the O.W. Meserve Printing Co. in Boston and the Stoughton Public School System,retiring in 1965. He was a 1937 graduate of Stoughton High School.

Ed and his wife celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 27, was past President of the Stoughton Historical was also a Curator at the Historical Society. He was a volunteer at the Adult Learning Center in Brockton,MA where he taught was an avid column writer; he had a weekly column printed in the Stoughton Buzz newspaper. He was a Great Model also was a reader at the Stoughton Public Library where he converted books on tape.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James E.
