Edward L. Mickiewicz, age 70, of Cassopolis, died peacefully, Thursday, September 10, 2015 in Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana.Ed was born March 1, 1945 in Oak Park, Illinois to Leon and Jacqueline (Ferrier) Mickiewicz. He married Penny Anne Stamp July 1, 1967 in Dowagiac, Michigan. She survives.
His parents preceded him in death. Ed liked to hunt and fish and spend time at his cabin in the north woods. He will be missed by his three four legged friends, Whiskey, Marshall and Shelby.
He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan, even when they were losing.Ed will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Penny (Stamp) Mickiewicz of Cassopolis; two sons, Joseph (Lynn) Mickiewicz of Niles, David Mickiewicz of Cassopolis; two grandsons, Jordon Mickiewicz and Ty Mickiewicz; one sister, Vicki (Larry) Newman of South Bend; one brother Bryan (Gregory Beelaert) Barr of South Bend; one niece, Traci Newman of South Bend; one great nephew, Sammy Ladyga; and lifelong friends, Dave and Mary Hand of Thorp, Wisconsin.
