He was born January 4, 1971 in Los Angeles, CA to Yvonne (Ladner) Williams of Lafayette and the late Rudolph Leroy Smith.
Following the Marine Corps, Edward received three different Associate Degrees from Ivy Tech and, for the past year, had been working at Evonik as a lab assistant.
On October 7th of this year Edward married Malinda Bunch, who he had been with the past 10 years.
He enjoyed gaming.
Surviving along with his mother and wife are two sons, Rian Smith of Lafayette and Daniel Smith of Champaign, IL; a daughter, Skye Smith, also of Lafayette and a sister, Melody Range, of Phoenix, AZ.
Edward is preceded in death by his father and two brothers.
