EK Stacey, age 92, Resident of Pensacola Beach Florida, died October the 11th, 2019, at his home.

Born September 20, 1927 in Memphis Tennessee.  Stacey, as he liked to be called, had a long and good life.  Stacey joined the Navy in 1945 as soon as he turned 18.   He grew up in Kentucky and moved to Huntsville Alabama where he went to work for NASA.  He met his late wife, Barbra, while living in Huntsville, and they started a family.  Their son Victor was born in 1964, and their daughter Lee was born in 1966.  Shortly thereafter Stacey moved his little family to Pass Christian Mississippi to start work on the Saturn program.  Stacey was in the airspace industry, working as an engineer off and on throughout his life.  He also had other jobs but the one that he loved the most was his time with NASA and his involvement with the American space program.

In 1998, after the death of his wife Barbra, Stacey moved to Pensacola Beach where he remained until his death last week.  Stacey loved the people of Pensacola and was frequently seen at hotspots around the beach.  His favorite haunt was Paradise, where he would stop by nightly to have a glass of Bud and talk with various friends.  Stacey loved live music and would show up at Paradise rain or shine every Friday and Saturday night to see if a band would be playing.

Stacey is survived by his son Victor Stacey, Victor’s wife Anastasia, and their sons Hayden and Hunter, and Hunter’s wife Claire Stacey.  Stacey is also survived by his daughter Lee Stacey, and Lee’s wife Stephanie.  Stacey met his girlfriend of 19 years, Ann Breeden, who was with him up to the time of death.
