Edward J. Zmitrewicz passed away peacefully at his home on August 18, 2017. He was born August 23, 1925 in Holyoke and was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Brazewski) Zmitrewicz. He attended Sacred Heart school and Holyoke Trade school. He was predeceased by his brother Stanley and his sister Jean (Zmitrewicz) Oechsle. Ed married Evelyn (LaDouceur) Zmitrewicz on November 11, 1949 celebrating 59 years before her passing in April 2009. Ed retired in 1996 from Holyoke Community College where he worked as a Supervisor in the Maintenance Department. After retiring Ed enjoyed his walks at the Holyoke Mall where he joined other walkers in Café Square for coffee and conversation.
