Mr. Edward J. Hubbell, Sr., age 92, of Alexandria, VA, formerly of Milford, beloved husband of the late Ellen Kossbiel Hubbell, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.
Son of the late Edward R. and Grace Johansen Hubbell, he was born on April 21, 1916 in Milford. Mr. Hubbell was a retired Lieutenant with the Milford Police Department from 1942 to 1972. Following his retirement Ed went to work for the Vallerie Trucking Company in Norwalk as Personnel Manager. He was a member of the Pyramid Temple Shrine in Milford, the Ansantawae Lodge Masons, the Milford Police and Fire Fighters Retirees Association, the U.S. Army Air Corps, and the 38 Bomb Group Association. He also volunteered as an usher in St.
