Edward Hall Bennett Sr. of Parks, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Parks, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born May 10, 1939 in Jacksonville, Illinois to Edward Newton Bennett and Geneva Brown Bennett. Edward was 77 years, 1 month and 1 day old. Edward was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Waldron, Arkansas. Edward was a man of faith and very strong in his belief. He shared the gospel with everyone he knew.
He enjoyed cooking, camping, woodworking, and fishing. He was proud of his Lakota Indian heritage. He was quite the artist and also enjoyed a collection of guns and knives. Edward was a loving family man. His family was and will forever be the light of his life.
Edward leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Julie Bennett of the home, Jessica Bennett of Washington, Jasmine Long and husband Bobby of Russellville, Arkansas, Edward Hall Bennett Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sarah Bennett of Parks, Arkansas, Sawyer Bennett of Parks, Arkansas, Trina Cross of Callao, Missouri, and Debra Schneider and husband Dan of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Grandpa will forever remain in the hearts of his eleven grandchildren and his great grandchildren that will sorely miss him. He will also be missed by his 2 older sisters: Mary Bennett Wright(91) and Geraldine M. Bennett Flagg(92) both of Illinois. Edward will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including Karen Stankus of Illinois, an extended family of friends, neighbors and loved ones close to his heart.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Geneva Bennett, one son, Gerald R. Bennett, three brothers: Douglas Bennett, Kenneth Bennett and Jerry Marsik and three brother in laws, Charles Leifheit, Bill Wright and Gerald Richard Flagg..
