Naugatuck – Mr. Edward H. Bergin, age 73, of Naugatuck passed away on Sunday February 22, 2015 after a long illness. Mr. Bergin was born in Waterbury on February 10, 1942 a son of the late Vincent and Lillian (Grossenbach) Bergin. Prior to his retirement Mr. Bergin worked at Congress Tools and Eastern Malleable Iron for many years. Mr. Bergin proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army. from 1964 to 1966. Mr. Bergin is survived by his partner of over 40 years, Miguel Arroyo, a sister; Shirley Froelick and her husband Ernie of Naugatuck, two nieces; Mary Carey and her husband Paul, and Lisa Gould and her husband Tom; his nephew and Godson; Thomas Froelick; an aunt; Bernice Bergin, several cousins especially Elizabeth Russo with whom he was raised. He was predeceased by a brother Vincent Bergin and a nephew James Froelick.
