Barkhamsted: Edward G. Parsons (Parzych) 96, peacefully passed away under the tender and loving care of his granddaughter, Katie McGurk. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Marion, in 1992. Residents of East Hartford for many years, they moved to San Diego in 1981. He returned to CT in 2002. Much of his working life was spent as a machinist and inspector, retiring from Gerber Scientific Instruments in 1976. He is survived by his son, Edward G. Parsons, Jr. and his wife Christina Lavieri and their three daughters, Judith Carter of Old Saybrook, Katherine Harvey and her husband, Michael of East Hartford, Dr. Nancy Daley and her husband, Floyd Crawford, of Austin, TX; a sister, Mildred Johnson of Braintree, MA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
