Edward Franklin Campbell  passed away in Grand Junction CO on March 19, 2020 following a brief illness. He is survived by brothers Pat Campbell of Vancouver WA and Paul Campbell of Edmond OK.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Walter and Eva May Campbell and his brother George Douglas Campbell.  His wife of 38 years, Rosemary Elizabeth Roellig of Philadelphia, preceded him in death in 2019.

 

Eddie was born and raised in Guymon OK. He attended Guymon High School, Oklahoma State University and New Mexico University, graduating with a degree in history.

 

A veteran of the Cold War, Eddie served with US Army Artillery headquarters in Ft. Sill during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

 

His career was mostly with the US Department of Agriculture. He supervised the Federal Food Stamp Program of five states from USDA Regional Headquarters in Denver.

 

He was an accomplished Scottish bagpipe player and poker player and enjoyed studying history, especially of the Panhandle dust bowl days.
