Edward F. Hoell, Sr., 87, of Upton, and a former long-time resident of Avon, died late Friday, October 1, 2010 in Saint Camillus Health Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Mildred A. (Cusick) Hoell, who died in 1981.
Mr. Hoell was born in Cambridge, a son of the late Henry and Mary G. (Bonner) Hoell. He was a graduate of the former Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He spent his entire career working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, retiring about 20 years ago. He lived in Avon for 45 years, where he was a communicant at St.
