Edward F. Duffy, Jr., 87, of Bethlehem, and formerly of Huntington, NY, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Kirkland Village. He and his wife, Mary (Mullin) Duffy, shared 20 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his wives, Consuelo (Ramirez) Duffy, who passed away in 1971 and Joy Marie (Stevenson) Duffy, who passed away in 1992. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Alice (Booth) Duffy. Edward attended Jamaica High School in Queens, New York and in 1941 joined the US Navy. He served his country during World War II as a Photographer Second Class on the Bunker Hill. Edward worked as a stereotyper for the Long Island Press for more than 25 years, as well as many of the other major New York Newspapers in the Metro area, including the New York Times, Newsday and the New York Daily News. He was an active member of the New York Stereotypers Union. Survivors: his loving wife, Mary; sons, Kevin P. Duffy and his wife Amanda of Bath and Edward A. Duffy of Springboro, OH; brother, James Duffy and his wife Patricia of East Meadow, Long Island, NY; 2 grandchildren, Sean Duffy of Brooklyn and Megan King, her husband Sean and their son Evan of Dover, NH. Edward was preceded in death by a sister Charlotte Duffy.
