Edward B. “Eddie” Papuga, 85, of Greensburg, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at New Haven Court in Greensburg. He was born March 27, 1935 in Patton, a son of the late Steven and Elizabeth (Haluska) Papuga. He was number 13 out of 18 children. Edward had been a U.S. Steel Worker Edgar Thompson Works for 40 years. He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Hannastown.  Edward enjoyed sharing his love of cars with friends and cruising in his 1958 Chevrolet Impala. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Albert, Betty, Dorothy, Ethel, Florence, George, Helen, James, Josephine, Margaret, Martha, Mary, Steve, and Thomas. He is also preceded in death by his trusty fur pup companions – Brach, Emily, and Jessie, whom he spent many happy days with. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen (Patronie) Papuga; his daughter, Sharon Guido and her husband Christopher Guido; granddaughter, Taylor Guido; two great-grandpups, Bamlee and Sophie; his siblings, Beverly Pender (Richard), John Papuga, and Parthy Miscovich (Dave); several nieces and nephews; and his special friends Charles and Marlene Fidazzo. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at New Haven Court and Bridges Hospice Care for their unconditional love, support, and care.
