Edna May (Jackie) Hartless, 85, passed away on October 28, 2014, at her home in Canon City after a long period of health problems. She was born May 5, 1929, in Oakview, Colorado to Edward and Emily (Hector) Davies. Jackie was united in marriage to Palmer Hartless on March 26, 1947, in Clayton, New Mexico. They celebrated 67 years of marriage this year. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Hartless is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband, Palmer; children Jeannie (Paul) Clark, Betty Sue (Dean) Cornella, and Bill (Laura) Hartless all of Canon City; grandchildren Misty (Joe) DeSalvo, Wendy (Drew) Cronk, Marina (Chuck) Hildebrand, Ryan (Elizabeth) Cornella, Melissa (Mike) Bufmack, Krista (Matt) Valdez, Chris (Melissa) Hartless, and Jeff Hartless; great-grandchildren Haily and Talon DeSalvo, Ashtyn and Josh Cronk, Trace and Annika Hildebrand, Jacob and Tanner Cornella, Trevor and Allison Bufmack, Aiden and Taytum Hartless. She is also survived by sisters Sara (Jim) Hupp of Stevens Point, WI, and Agnes Stewart of Fort Wayne, IN, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
