Edna Mae Shaner, 95, of Virginia, IL died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
She was born June 27, 1913 in Lee’s Summit, MO; the daughter of Lee Roy and Emma Elizabeth Smalley Edwards. She married John H. Shaner on August 29, 1936 in Virginia, IL and he preceded in death on August 25, 2000.
She is survived by two sons, John R. Shaner of Danville and Larry Shaner (wife, Nanette) of rural Virginia; three grandsons, William Shaner (wife, Kristen) of Morton, Mark Shaner (wife, Jennifer) of Joplin, MO, and Shawn Shaner of Chandlerville; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Harvey (husband, Robert) of Valparaiso, IN. She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Ellen Shaner and two brothers, Vernon and Lee Edwards.
