Edna Mae Briscoe, age 81, passed away peacefully at her Manassas home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 27, 1936 in Fauquier County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Leamon Roosevelt Posey and Harriet Elizabeth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Briscoe. Survivors include her husband, James C. Briscoe; four children: Gail Robbins, James Dana (Sharon Debardi) Briscoe, Lorraine (Richard) Fisher, and Steven Kelly (Sharon) Briscoe; nine grandchildren; Melanie Robbins, Holly Eberle, Jeremy Robbins, Scott (Hannah) Briscoe, Toni (Zack) Shultz, Jesse Briscoe, Nicole Briscoe, Steven Briscoe, and Erika (Coree) Thomas; 11 great grandchildren; brothers Joseph Posey, Leamon (Scarlet) Posey, Jr., and Gary Rogers; and sisters Jean Friel, Connie Miller, and Bonnie (George) Ford; along with a number of loving nieces and nephews.
