Edna Belle (Brezina) Fringer, 88 years of age, of Odell passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born at North Branch, Kansas on March 23, 1930 to Henry and Louise (Jettner) Brezina. Edna graduated from Guide Rock High School in 1948 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Hastings College. She married Rex Fringer on August 14, 1951 in Guide Rock, Nebraska. Edna was a rural school teacher in Adams County for many years. She enjoyed fishing in her younger years, painting, gardening and horse races.
Edna is survived by 2 sons, James Fringer and wife Wanda of Sparta, Missouri, John “Jack” Fringer and wife Claudia of Marysville, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, Rebecca Sohl and husband Jeff, Kari Fringer, Katie Fringer, Kevin Fringer, Kendra Alcala and husband Mitch, Kayla Carte and husband Mike; 2 great grandchildren, Ben and Bo Sohl; 2 sisters, Evelyn Seeman of Blue Hill, Hazel Rouse of Hastings; brother-in-law, Ronald Fringer of McCook; 2 sisters-in-law, Sharon Rust and husband Jim of Superior, Glenda Douthit of Visilia, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rex; sister, Helen Wickman; and several other relatives and in-laws.
