Edna Anna Louise Zimmerman of Davis, IL, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 at age 92.
She was born June 10, 1916 in rural Davis to John & Anna Louise (Benning) Fiene, graduated from Dakota High School in the class of 1934, married Russell C. Zimmerman Nov. 1, 1936 in Stockton, IL and resided in Davis all her life.
Edna was a homemaker and operated the Davis Chickeries for 25 years with her husband Russell. She was very active in her church work as a Sunday school teacher, choir director, pianist & organist. She loved to work with her flowers, knit, crochet & watch the birds from their deck window. She & Russell did extensive genealogy work took many fishing trips & a lot of tours. Surviving are her husband, Russell, four children, Joanne (Jim) Yeoman, Jeanne (Gary) Wells both of Dakota, Joyce (Garry) Leonard of Sandy, Utah & Vaughn (Sally) Zimmerman of Davis; eleven grandchildren Scott (Judy) Yeoman, Kay (Ed) Coryell, Craig (Chris) Yeoman, Valerie (Dave) Goeke, Tom (Marcia) Wells, Mark (Cindy) Wells, Chris (Tina) Wells, Andrea (Dory) Haffelder, Meredith Leonard, Stephanie (Mike)Wirth, Eric (Steffanie) Zimmerman. Twenty-seven great grandchildren & four great, great grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, sister Arvilla Fiene, great great granddaughter Brynn Wells, 2 sisters-in-law & their husbands.
