Edith Reba “Edie” Woodring, 68, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at her home.
Born March 14, 1951 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Jonathon and Frances Catherine (Errikson) Robinson.
Edie attended Williamsport School District and had worked at Shop Vac for many years. She enjoyed cooking professionally and for her family and friends. Edie would often make meals for others when she worked at Shop Vac and recently for those in her apartment building. Edie found relaxation in shopping at Goodwill and other thrift stores, sometimes even twice a day, and playing bingo. She went to church faithfully, and being surrounded by family was her favorite joy in life. Above all, she loved doing for others.
Surviving are her four children; Donald J. Woodring, Jr. (Erin) of Jersey Shore, Frances C. Woodring (Jeff) of Williamsport, Mary E. Woodring (Mark) of Muncy, and Douglas R. Woodring of Williamsport, ten grandchildren; Victoria, Nathan, Deanna, Ariel, Timmy, Brittany L., Brittany, Maurice Jr., Monique and Orion, fourteen great-grandchildren, and four sisters; Catherine Fitzpatrick and Alice Peters both of New Hampshire and Margaret James and Isabel Courty both of United Kingdom, a brother; Joseph Robinson, of Texas, her life-long very best friend; Nell Willits and her daughters, Eugenia, Christina, and Debbie, who were family to her.
In addition to her parents, Edie was preceded in death by a sister; Pearl Haines, and a brother; Donald George.
