Edith M. Russo, 82, of Allentown, died Sunday, January 11, 2009, in Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Twp. She was the wife of Dominic Russo who died in 2005. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Adele (D’Andrea) Mucellin. Edith was a homemaker, and was also employed for 20 years by the Bethlehem Area School District as a school secretary prior to her retirement. Edith loved politics and enjoyed following and discussing political issues at every level. She was a Catholic. Survivors: her daughter Elise A. Gasda and her husband Lawrence of Bethlehem; sons Attorney Donald P. Russo and Dr. David P. Russo both of East Stroudsburg; sisters Rose Russo of Allentown and Mary Jane Bolen and her husband Steve of Macungie; brother Theodore Mucellin and his wife Olympia of Macungie; grandchildren Molly, Gabrielle and Abigail Russo and Matthew and Emily Gasda. She was preceded in death by her brothers Eugene, Angelo and Joseph Mucellin.
