Edith Loraine Hines, daughter of Leonard and Clara Brazier was born January 18, 1938, in Miller City, Illinois. She was one of eight siblings; three boys and five girls. Her parents, brothers Walter Brazier, Homer Brazier, and Donald Brazier, sisters Loretta Paul and Ada M. Harris have all preceded her in death. She attended Douglass High School in Mounds, Illinois and was a graduate of the Cook County School of Nursing and of Triton College with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
Edith was a Registered Nurse and worked on staff at several hospitals in the Chicago area including Cook County Hospital, Mary Thompson and Bethany Hospitals. She was united in holy matrimony to Henry Hines in August of 1969. Henry preceded her in death on May 19, 2003.
Edith loved to travel especially to Las Vegas, but she also loved being in her home in South Holland, surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed basketball and was an avid Chicago Bulls fan.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the hearts of her Children: Darrell (Warrick Sr.) Copeland Graham of South Holland, Illinois and Glenda (Grady Jr.) Rivers of Elmhurst, Illinois; her Grandchildren: Glynis Lorraine Rivers, Gaylen Jeanette Rivers, Clayton Graham and Warrick (Asheena) Graham Jr.; a Brother in Law Roland (Loretta) Paul of Jennings, Missouri; her Sisters Betty (Amos) Bullocks of South Holland, Illinois and Patricia Brazier of Homewood, Illinois, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
