Edith L. Easton, 90, of Rose Valley, passed peacefully and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at her home. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Paul R. Easton.

Born October 30, 1929, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Herbert T. and Jean E. (Phillips) Manley.

Edith was a 1948 graduate of South Williamsport High School where she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. Edith began working at Manley’s Tea Room before becoming a devoted and loving mother of five children and later was a consultant for Art Craft Concepts. Edith and her daughter, Janet, opened Janet’s Floral in 1986 where she enjoyed working for over 20 years.

Edith was a member of Rose Valley United Methodist Church where she truly enjoyed Bible study and spending time with her church family. She was also very active in church activities and was a former vacation Bible school teacher. Edith was also a member of 4-H where she served as a leader for over 10 years and also Future Homemakers of America. In her spare time Edith could be found in her kitchen where she loved cooking, baking, and canning.

Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Carol J. Dees, of Winston-Salem,NC, John M. Easton, of Rose Valley, Janet E. Johns (Patrick), of Williamsport, Will R. Easton, of Loyalsock, and Tom S.

In addition to her parents Edith was preceded in death by a brother Herbert T. Manley, Jr. and a sister Margaret Hensler.
