Edith Fraysher Gerstung, 94, absent from the body and present with the Lord on October 9, 2016 at Corinth Road Personal Care Home in Newnan, GA. Edith was born on September 3, 1922 in St. Louis, MO to the late Edward and Alma Layton Fraysher. She was married for 53 years to Oscar Albert Gerstung who predeceased her in 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her son who died at the age of 11, Oscar Albert Gerstung, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Jayme) Sickert of Newnan, GA; her son, Robert Edward Gerstung and his son Micah of St. Louis, MO; daughter, Robyn Gerstung (Steve) Olson of Avon, IL. Edith was adored by her six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren for whom she prayed faithfully. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Barbara Gerstung of St. Louis, MO, 13 nieces and nephews and one cousin.
