Edith “Donna” Jean Farmer-Hanna, age 84, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, formerly of Salem, died at 8:29 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She was born June 6, 1928 in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Daniel and Edith (Malloney) McElroy. She was a member of the Salem First United Methodist Church, where she was an usher and attended the Reynoldsburg Church of the Nazarene while in Reynoldsburg. Donna was also a member of the Salem Grange. Her first husband, Leland R. Farmer, whom she married October 14, 1949, preceded her in November 8, 1983. Her second husband, Gene Hanna, whom she married July 12, 1985, preceded her in death January 3, 1989; a son, Richard Farmer died in 2007; a brother, Robert McElroy; and a sister, Allene Forkel also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Donald L. (Donna) Farmer of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a daughter, Kathleen J. (Michael) Samuelson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; three sisters, Delores Gesaman of Salem, Arlene Forkel of Salem and Joyce Lasky of Guilford Lake; and seven grandchildren, Christopher and Brandon Farmer, Jason and Michael Farmer, Aimee Farmer Botkins, and Mikayla and Brendan Samuelson; and three great-grandchildren, Destiny, Kailee and Seth Farmer.
