Edith F. Riccio Fryer, 93, of New Haven passed at home with her loving family at her side on May 24, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Wife of the late George Fryer Sr. Edith is survived by her children Betty (Pat) Sullivan and George (Dominga) Fryer Jr. all of West Haven, Jackie (John) Francis of Stratford, Theresa (Dominic) Landolfi of SC, Francis J. Fryer of New Haven and the late Larry Fryer, her 24 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 4 brothers and 8 sisters. Born in New Haven daughter of the late Jack and Victoria Mazzacane Riccio. Edith worked for Yale New Haven Hospital as a dietary aide for many years. She was a loving, hard working and very devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
