Edith A. Burke, age 97, longtime resident of Milford and beloved wife to the late William H. Burke, passed away on Monday, May 07, 2012 at Milford Hospital. Born on September 22, 1914 in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Stoddard Allen. Edith was employed as a waitress with the Orange Board of Education. She was a dedicated and active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Milford and was active in various genealogy societies. Edith was very proud of her heritage as she was a distant relative to Ethan Allen, patriot of the American Revolutionary War.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Arena of Milford, her granddaughter Elizabeth Jordan and her husband James of West Haven, and three cherished great grandchildren, Patrick William, Connor Joseph and Savannah Rose Jordan.
