Edelmira T. Villarreal, age 72 years, of Harlingen, Texas entered into eternal life on Monday, August 30, 2021. She was born August 26, 1949, in Brownsville, Texas to Santiago “Jimmy” and Zoila Flores Trevino. Edelmira was loved by all her family and friends. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
A native of Brownsville, Edelmira lived in San Jose, California for 16 years, where she worked for the San Jose Independent School District, and then Harlingen for the past 15 years. She was a member of a Pioneer Cameron County family.
Edelmira is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago “Jimmy” and Zoila Trevino; and her brother, Benito Trevino.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory, her loving children, Sergio Rene Villarreal (Deborah), Dulia A. Perez (Rudy), and Arturo A. Villarreal; grandchildren, Nicole, Christian, Giovanni, Zebede, and Rudy III; siblings, Olga Martinez (Ricardo) and Lionel Trevino (Olga); and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
