Eddie G. Street has crossed the creek to be with the Lord on March 29, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Ed was born on March 29, 1949 in the coal mining community of Tazewell County, Virginia. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In Los Angeles, California he met his wife, Eda, and told her they would spend the rest of their lives together on their first date. He worked with the Sheet Metal Workers Union for 30 years. He resided in Southern California before retiring and moving to Boerne, Texas in 2001. His last and most favorite job was being the Boerne-ISD School Bus Supervisor. He was a man of many talents which included being a police officer, certified real estate appraiser, football referee and baseball umpire. He loved being with his family traveling, hunting, fishing, camping, water sports, BMX bicycle racing, R/C car racing, and going to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

He was baptized into the Christian faith on December 31, 1968 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boerne since 2005. He enjoyed his country music, old gospel hymns, and quilting. He loved his puppies, Lady, Lilly and Sophie, and his grandpuppies, Banks, Reagan and Thatcher.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer E. Street; his mother, Dorothy E. Lester; his step-fathers, Harry DePratt and Jerry Gunderson; and his grand-daughter, Sydney Brooke Street.

He is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Eda Lu Street; his son, Charles E. Street; his daughter, Lindsay L. Bane; his son, Chris B. Street; his daughter-in-law, Jodi Street; his son-in-law, Patrick Bane; his daughter-in-law Jess Street; his grandchildren Matthew Street, Allyson Street, Anthony Street, Hannah Bane, Sierra Bane, Alex Bane, and Grayson Street; his grand-daughter-in-law Jennifer Street; his great-grandchildren, Cody Street and Abigail Street; his uncle, Harmon Lester of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; and many cousins throughout the country.
