Edward Jude Ciccolo, 67, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2011 from cancer. Born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts on January 3, 1944, he was the sixth child of Leo and Concetta Ciccolo. Ed moved with his family to Los Angeles when he was a young boy. He attended St. John Vianney High School and Los Angeles City College. After college, Ed joined IBM as a salesman and began a long career in the computer industry. During his 30 years with IBM, he resided in Los Angeles; Denver; Cheyenne, Wyoming; San Francisco; and Juneau, Alaska. His last move with IBM brought him to Phoenix where he retired in 1994 as a sales manager. Establishing lifelong relationships with customers, friends and teammates was a quality he prided himself on and which contributed to his professional success. Never content to be idle, Ed continued working after IBM as a sales executive at several computer companies before officially retiring in 2004. During his retirement, Ed found time to indulge in his many hobbies, which included hunting and fishing, golf, target shooting, traveling, running, tennis and walking in the beautiful early Scottsdale mornings. Ed is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nora; his daughter, Sarah; his stepson, Christopher Exline (Elizabeth); and his two granddaughters, Isabelle Claude and Natasha Kate. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Basile (Frank), of Boise, Idaho and his brother, Jimmy, of Palm Desert, California. Ed loved his family, his friends, his hobbies, a beautiful sunset, a full moon, a walk on the beach and all of the celebrations of life.
