Eben P. Weeden, 80, of Main St, Ashaway, RI, died Friday morning December 8, 2006, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Winifred K. Weeden.
Born in Ashaway, on January 30, 1926, he was the son of the late Eben P. and Elizabeth (Gavigan) Weeden.
Besides his wife of Winifred of 50 years, he will be sadly missed by his children James Weeden and Susand McDonald and her husband Kevin, grandsons, Thomas Weeden and James Nigrelli all of Ashaway. A brother George “Pete” Weeden and his wife Marjorie of Ashaway, two sisters, Frances W. Barnes of Mystic CT, and Susan “Tina” Palmer and her husband Ernest of Voluntown, CT, and seven nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his sister, Eileen Stewart who died in August.
Eben worked for the Westerly Sun for more than 50 years. He had a passion for music and loved to dance.
His hobbies were making hooked rugs for his family, but his main love was mowing his lawn and having a beautiful yard.
He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
