Earmel Blaine “Butch” Blosser, 72 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Clarksburg on July 2, 1950, son of the late Duhl and Leaska Shackleford Blosser.

Butch graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1968. He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He worked for Mountain State Linen as a Plant Manager and retired from the Exponent Telegram working in the circulation department. He enjoyed going to auctions, collecting NASCAR and model cars, gardening, spending time with the grandchildren and the fur babies. Butch was Methodist by faith and a member of the Clarksburg VFW Post 573.

Butch is survived by his daughter, Lisa Post and husband Steve, Clarksburg; two sons, Carl “David” Short Jr and wife Lori, Bridgeport; Mark A Short, Nutter Fort; four grandchildren, Zachary Post and wife Katy, Nicholas Post, Logan Post, Ashton Short White and husband Tyson; two brothers, Denzil Blosser and Aderon “Jake” Blosser and wife Marilyn all of Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Florence Ventura Blosser whom he married on June 9, 1979 and passed on October 21, 1996; one daughter, Joyce Carol Short; one brother, Ronzel Blosser; sister-in-law, Joann Blosser.
