Earl Thurman, 82 of 223 Belaire Drive, Danville died Wednesday August 8, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1929 in Danville to the late Rudy Mack Thurman and the late Essie Mae Evans Thurman. Mr. Thurman was married to the late Joan Lorraine Thurman for fifty six years. He was a member of the Kearfott Memorial Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. Earl worked for a vending buisness all of his life and was an avid bowler in the piedmont league. Mr. Thurman is survived by four sons; Jim Thurman and wife Betsy, Rev. Robert Thurman and wife Melissa, John Thurman and wife Jennifer and Donnie Thurman all of Danville: one brother; Otis Lee Thurman: twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on the way. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by one sister; Evelyn Vernon: five brothers; Clinton Thurman, Willard Thurman, Rudy Thurman, Sager Thurman and Lynwood Thurman.
